Sunset Cruise
Experience the Endeavour River at its most special time of day.
We explore the harbour in the long afternoon light and then head upstream to watch the sunset over the distant ranges. While navigating the maze way of smaller creeks we serve a complimentary gourmet cheese platter to accompany your drink of choice. After dark, spotlights add a whole new perspective to the impenetrable walls of mangrove that line the river.
Listen to some stories about Captain Cook’s infamous passage along the Cape, about devastating cyclones, about the glory days of pearling luggers and about the new Cooktown, gateway to Cape York.
This sunset cruise can make for a wonderfully peaceful way to end the day.
- The sunset cruise takes approximately 2- 2.5 hours
- Gourmet cheese platter (selection of cheeses & salami, dried fruit, wafer crackers, olives, sun-dried tomatoes and pickled onions)
- Gluten free and vegetarian platters available upon request (min 24 hours notice)

Departs from the Cooktown Public Boat Ramp (opposite the Seaview Motel) at 5pm daily, pending minimum numbers.We look for at least 6 adult passengers for the tour to go ahead.
